What is PPA Certified?

PPA certified is a designation granted by the Professional Photographers of America, the world's oldest and largest Association for imaging professionals, with more than 14,000 members in 64 nations. Only those who meet or exceed the Association's strict requirements can earn certification.

Those holding the PPA Certified designation have:

• passed a comprehensive written examination measuring their technical expertise.
• submitted images for critical review
• submitted to a reference or credit check

In order to maintain their PPA Certified designation, professionals must participate in continuing education programs and periodically submit their work for critical evaluation. This encourages those holding the designation to maintain their current expertise and to develop new skills and techniques.
